I hate not being able to get to sleep. I've been staring at the ceiling for 4 hours waiting for sleep to come. I've got to be up again at 7am. Looks like the sandman has missed me out again. The Bastard. I'll be like one of the undead all day. It's not even as if I can skive off either, I've got to go to the big city today to fight Babylon. Where's me Red Bull and Pro Plus!

Ah well, onwards and upwards as they used to say.

Vickys right, it's time for a new entry.....the only trouble is .....I'm spoilt for choice. Do I go with the fact that I'm sooo fucking pissed off that in a few weeks I'll no longer be able to have a smoke when I go for a drink? Or should I go with my anger on ID cards and the fascist state that the UK will soon become? Or the fact that the UK government is refurbishing our missile silos and restocking our or supply of nukes?

 

That ones surely the most important...

 

Gorbachov is accusing the West of undoing all his work with Glasnost and re-starting the Cold War, meanwhile The West are busy re-starting the Cold War!!!

I remember the days of CND, the holding hands 'round Greenham Common, The marches on Aldermaston, the mass playing-dead-in-the-middle-of-town days, the day the Wall came down. The fear that only growing up in a world of possible total nuclear annihilation can bring. The apathy that sets in when you live in a world that can be destroyed at the push of a button. Now, you'ld think that being a horseman of the apocolypse I'd be for this sort of thing but....well.....I kind of like it here. Mankinds fascinating, ingenius, inspired in it's evil AND in it's good works. It can't just stop!!!

 

See, the thing is, there's big money to be made out of weaponry. Look at the US. Haliburton for example. Made a fortune out of the War on Terror. In the UK the Church of England made a killing during the Cold War, they used to invest heavily in weapons manufacturering, probably still do...they also benefitted from the fact that people were in constant fear of death by selling them a comforting lie...The Rupture, lol. sorry Rapture. They've been denying this teaching for the past few years because suprise, suprise.... he didn't show.....but it worked on a hell of a lot of people for a hell of a long time.....but that's another entry.

 

Sorry if it's not as funny as the last one but Thermonuclear War isn't the funniest of subjects.
